Natasha’s before & after

Miss Natasha’s before and after

I’m certainly not a professional photographer and don’t claim to be. But the use of natural light, a simple upgrade in scenery and Miss Natasha has a much more appealing adoption photo to share on a website.

With black dogs I often find taking video and then extracting a photo from the video often Is the best way to capture their features. I downloaded the Photo Extract app on my iPhone. (This also works very well for young children who wiggle!)

Fun with a chalkboard

Adoptable Pet

Joe poses with football and chalkboard

Note to fellow adoption photographers- I get a lot of mileage from a simple chalkboard.  Write heartfelt messages to attract adopters, a cute message to fit with the season, or simply the pets name (This way when people share your photo through social media, the pets name stays with the photo just in case it comes along the computer of a potential adopter).
